A Complicated Problem: Tackling Venous Leg Ulcers with Multi-modality Cyclical-pressure Topical Wound Oxygen Therapy

Paul Haser, MD, FACS, FRCSC, RPVI, RVT discusses tackling venous ulcers with multiple modality cyclical pressure topical wound oxygen therapy. Venous ulcers remain a challenge to heal, often presenting to the wound specialist with many months and sometimes years of failed treatment. An appreciation of the pathophysiology as well as a better understanding of the wound ‘s microenvironment are often the first steps towards successful management. This talk proposes an upgraded paradigm towards improved healing, including the important addition of cyclical topical wound oxygen therapy.
