This lecture reviews current evidence comparing intermetatarsal angle reduction achieved with Lapidus arthrodesis versus minimally invasive bunion procedures. Participants will analyze the literature to understand the relative effectiveness of each approach and identify deformity- and patient-specific factors that inform appropriate procedure selection. Intraoperative techniques used to reliably obtain and maintain intermetatarsal correction will be discussed to support evidence-based surgical decision-making and optimize clinical outcomes.
