This lecture provides an evidence-based update on diabetic neuropathy with a focus on current understanding of pathophysiology and classification, including sensory, motor, and autonomic involvement and their clinical implications. Participants will review validated diagnostic tools and emerging assessment strategies used to identify diabetic neuropathy in clinical practice. Contemporary management approaches will be discussed, emphasizing pharmacologic treatment, biomechanical interventions, and preventative strategies aimed at reducing complications such as ulceration, falls, and functional decline.
