This lecture will review the role of imaging in the evaluation and diagnosis of sports-related ankle injuries. Dr. Benjamin Levine will discuss the various imaging modalities used in clinical practice, including radiography, CT, ultrasound, and MRI, with emphasis on their appropriate applications in assessing acute and chronic ankle pathology. The session will highlight common sports-related ankle injuries that can be identified through imaging and review their characteristic imaging findings. Particular focus will be placed on the MRI appearance of ligamentous, tendinous, osteochondral, and soft tissue injuries to support accurate diagnosis and guide clinical management.
